SHARE PEACE

The Share Peace team started out the year with some momentum by planning the Global Celebration dinner and auction that raised funds for our synod benevolence. We continued with a few more events until summer, when things started to slow down.
It was decided by the council that the Caring team would be a part of the Share Peace team, because according to Peace Lutheran Church constitution it falls under the category of evangelism and outreach.
The Share Peace team had some successful events during the year, but is looking to more ways on how we can reach out to the community of Charlotte and how we can make our presence known.
2008 Goals
The Share Peace team is working with the growing team to present the Lutheran Course during Lent. The team is also looking for individuals that are interested in going to an Alpha training session so that we can cement a leadership group that can restart Alpha and expand our outreach to the community.
Pastor Sarah will be starting a Bible & Brew in January as well to expand our outreach to the twenty and thirty-something crowd.
One opportunity this year is to make a better presence during city festivals, such as Celebrate Charlotte and Frontier Days, possibly with a float in the parade.
